Scrapbook Trends: Here at Scrapbook Trends, we have
the privilege of seeing the beautiful ways you preserve the happy (and
sometimes challenging) moments of your life. It brings a great deal of
joy into our lives to see the things that you create, and this issue is
no exception. Throughout this issue are things that make us happy! You
shared some touching layouts celebrating motherhood and babies. In Award Winning Style,
Tina walker celebrates a special vintage photo and sweet childhood
memories on a beautiful layout. We asked you to share what your creative
space looks like in Real Life: Your Creative Space and
loved how unique and individual the responses were! Monika Glód used
photos of her children at the same ages to create this month's One Amazing Album about motherhood. In How To: Add Flair,
join Wendy Sue for a look at just five of the many fun ways to add some
flair to your layouts, then be inspired by the pretty colors, fabulous
flowers, and sweet sentiments in our Mother's Day Cards section. Hoping you have a month full of things that bring you joy!

Cards: Creativity is never lacking in CARDS Magazine.
This month, we have a BRAND NEW section called "Unusually Shaped Cards"
that begins on page 70. In it, our wonderful card designers have moved
away from the standard square or rectangle card bases. Their cards are
in all sorts of shapes including baskets and animals! We also have a
whole section on the sweet honeycomb pattern that seems to be everywhere
right now. InThings We Love, we're featuring the
Family Ties line from Pebbles, which has everything to make your cards
perfectly adorable! We were inspired by the springy colors of May
flowers: rich coral, buttery yellow, and bright turquoise, for ourStyle Challenge.
We also incorporated a very geometric and trendy design element of
chevron stripes. Come get to know Grace Tolman as our Designer of the
Month. Her bright and fun cards will surely inspire you! It's an issue
full of fun and beautiful ideas, so don't miss out!

Sewing: The pieces you create right now, regardless
of whether they are simple or more advanced projects, truly are more
than that tangible thing in your hands. You're creating a keepsake.
You're creating the homespun comfort of familiar stitches and,
eventually, tattered corners. You're creating pride in your family
through your talent and your creativity. You might even be creating
inspiration for generations to come! To help, we've created an issue
filled with embroidery, pillows, pincushions, items for him, and more.
We've also got ten places to buy fabric online, 10 great sewing blogs,
sewing in the word of Twitter and more to help you find the best
resources for your projects. So, regardless of what level you're at in
your sewing expertise, keep creating! Not only for yourself, but for
someone who might be curling up nder your blanket fifty years from now.

Bead Trends: Color, as one of the fundamental
elements of design, and the way it is used in any artistic creation,
certainly makes a statement. That's why we've embraced Pantone's
announcement of emerald as the color for 2013 and let that be a source
of inspiration throughout this issue. In our Designer Highlight,

inspiration with you! You'll find great instructions and diagrams by
Tamara Allison in Jewel School: Button Necklace. As the
