  Bangles with Dangles with Teresa Sullivan
In this class, open to all levels of experience, you'll create a beautiful, sleek bangle bracelet and be introduced to sculptural beadwork from a renowned artist and instructor!
Teresa will guide you step-by-step through the making of a complete
bracelet with special attention to starting and finishing which are
usually the trickiest parts. If you're new to beading, you're in great
hands! You can get as fancy as you like with this bracelet, or you can
keep it super simple. It's gorgeous either way. You'll be using drops as
your dangles in this class, but you can easily substitute lentil shaped
beads, daggers or contrasting colored twin seed beads. To help you get
started right away, Teresa also offers several kits in gorgeous color
combinations!
This is a fun project that can be done rather quickly - it's also
simple and portable. Take it with you on the plane or car ride during
your summer vacation! Warning: it's quite addictive as the combinations
are endless!

 The Origins of a Passion!
My passion for beads and beadwork stemmed from my interest in
historical clothing and an early love of sparkly things. By age 9, I
wanted to take dance lessons, mainly because my best friend Dawn, who
was taking tap, had a costume completely covered in sequins.
 Later
in life, a series of closely-timed coincidences led me to explore
beadwork while playing bass in a rock band. Our drummer's
former roommate left behind a small box of beads, I was given a bag of
wet ceramic clay (and began making beads with it), and I (belatedly) had
my ears
pierced. A local bead store and the Portland Bead Society ensured that I
was hooked. Joyce Scott's adventuresome, meaningful beadwork grabbed my attention, dovetailing with my love of underground comics. I love the sculptural, storytelling aspects of this medium, and I consider anything with a hole in it to be a bead. Crystals and Curves
Take the flat circular peyote stitch and make it dance! This is a
fun easy-to-make "beaded" bead that ads texture to bracelets and
necklaces. This class is straightforward enough for beginners, while
leaving lots of room for experimentation for experienced beaders. Teresa
also discusses several deviations and variations at the end!

 Snake Eyes Bracelet
Learn to make your beadwork bend, wave and undulate! This
class is fun for beaders of any skill level. You'll also learn how to
finish your bracelet with a button clasp, and several ways to create
very different looks with modest changes to the technique. Once you're
comfortable with the technique, you can use it in brooches, earrings,
wearable art, or sculpted pieces.

Monster Mash
Learn to sculpt with beads by creating a three-dimensional, hollow,
freeform head. Add your own embellishments like ears, hair, eyebrows,
or even tongues sticking out sideways! Use your one-of-a-kind creations
as pendants, earrings, components in other jewelry pieces, sculptural
works or stand alone pieces. You should have familiarity with Tubular Three Drop Peyote Stitch to get the most from this class.
