THAT'S WHAT WE SENT YOU ON FRIDAY. WHAT A DIFFERENCE TWO DAYS CAN MAKE.
It's all still true, especially the part about being grateful to have you as our customer.
But, here's the truth that I didn't type...with the eternal hope
that we would have a great show this weekend. It wasn't great. It
wasn't good. In fact, it was horrible and we lost almost $3,000 that I
didn't have to lose.
If you've been a customer for very long, you know I've sent
heartfelt messages before, and that's what this is...the brutal honest
truth of where we are right now.
After two years of surviving my Papa's illness and passing, then my
own health scares, I just knew this year would be better. But, life
doesn't work that way. I'm healthy and getting healthier since my
surgery last year, and I thank God for that. But I'm facing issues with
Keller that we hadn't foreseen. I will tell you all more about that
soon, as I've always been as transparent with you as I know to be.
Also, my mom has been in the hospital 3 times in the last 6 months.
Both Keller and Mom need me now more than ever.
But I need you. We have had 4 shows this year, and 3 of them came
close to covering the $5,000 in expenses that each show brings, but the
4th this weekend may have been the final straw. We are beyond being
out of money, and I am scared. I'm scared that I might lose the
business that I've worked day and night for. But, I'm also confident
that this is what I am supposed to do. I have been more creative in the
last 6 months than ever...and to say I love teaching scrapbooking is an
understatement.
Outside of not covering expenses at these first shows, we had 3
months without shows, so the timing of bad shows is almost
insurmoutable. Add to that the medical bills that are still piled high,
and I come to this email...to share the truth...to give you a voice in
whether we go on to more CKC's near you...whether we are in business at
all.
We need $10,000 to make it to the next show...we have thousands of
customers across this country. If each of you could help us, even in a
small way, we will be fine.
What can you do? How can you help? It's easy:
1. Pray. I feel the love & support of so many of you. I need our prayer warriors now.
2. Order online. The coupon below is still valid today...use it
if you would like...share it with friends who don't know about us.
3. Order gift certificates for later use at a convention...or til you need more supplies...or to give as a gift.
4. Sign up for one of our weekend events. We are only half way
full for July. Please come to the best scrapbooking weekend around!!!
It's worth every penny.
5. Order our first box kit: Page A Day in May. It's 31 double
page layouts, and we will be posting them daily in May on our blog to
help motivate us all (me included) to take 10 minutes a day being
creative. It's good for the soul. (can't afford this kit? Order with
friend & split it.)
Those are some ways each of you can help me and Keller. Help us
get to Manchester in two weeks. Help me get our account positive. Help
me pay his doctor this week. Help me pay our print shop who has been
way too patient with me. Help me repay my mom for all she does for us.
Help me get my 12 year old car fixed so it's safe for me to drive to
see so many of you. Help me pay those who work so hard for me for so
very little. The list could go on & on....as many of you know how
all this feels daily, too. I just know that our customers want us to be
here, and I know I can trust you all enough to send this email.
Thank you for getting us thru other times like this before. Thank
you for always listening, and praying, and all that you do. We will do
our best to bring you the best American-made products on the market, and
show you a zillion ways to use them. We will do our best to get our
handmade products in your hands as fast as possible. And, we will bring
you the best events and classes and clubs of any company out there.
Thank you in advance for your help. Oh, one more thing....be sure
to bring a friend with you when you come to a convention this year.
That will help all the vendors like us...we need attendance up
everywhere...if we all want this industry to be more than what we see on
our computer screen.
