There is an amazing website out there called Craftsy. If you haven't visited Craftsy, you had better set aside an hour (or two) to take in all of the good stuff they have to offer.
One of the best parts of Craftsy are the thousands (yes, that's right -- thousands!) of free project patterns. Sewing, knitting, crocheting, cake decorating, paper crafting... you name it, and there is some sort of project with a free how-to just waiting for you!
Craftsy also offers workshops and classes on a variety of crafting subjects and many of these are free as well.
